Tim Ryan and his Achaian army won this year's Winter Sword DBA Tournament at The Soldiery, Dec. 13, in Columbus. This year's tourney featured a Biblical theme, as many of the local Ancients enthusiasts had been painting (or purchasing) Biblical armies. There were eight participants in the 4-round tourney. Prizes were provided by myself (two scratch-built DBA camps), Rich Hartley and the Ohio Valley Hoplites, and Jeff Fletcher (an unpainted DBA Sea Peoples army, which Tim chose as his first prize). Tim scored a losing draw in his first round against Steve Sattler's Philistine army, then went on to win his next three games. In the final round, he bested 3-0 Mike Stelzer and his Kushite Egyptians. Mike attempted a risky naval landing, which backfired and ending up losing him the game. Final standings were:
