Warhammer Ancients Tourney

1st Held at ATC

by Bud Hunter

The 1st Annual Warhammer Ancients Battle tournament was held Friday night at ATC. We had seven gamers sign up for the tournament, so gee whiz, I just HAD to play to even things out. This was scheduled to be a three round tournament, but since we started late, we only played two rounds. Scoring was by the (WAB rule) book. Each round was 5 turns or 2 hours.

Below are listed the players, armies used, and victory point totals:
Mike Bruck, Republican Roman, 2608 pts. -- Supreme Warlord
Eric McKenzie, Western Franks, 2181 pts. -- Secondary Warlord
John Akers, Warlord/Fall of the West, 2149 pts. -- Tertiary Warlord
Jack Shaw, Macedonian, 1213 pts.
Kyle Moore, Allied Greek, 1175 pts.
Brad Thurmond, Danish Vikings, 1028 pts.
Tim Wells, Early Persians, 555 pts.
Bud Hunter, New Kingdom Egyptians, 527 pts.

Please note this was the first time Kyle Moore played WAB. Also note my Egyptians have still not recovered from the abuse suffered at the hands of John Adkins many moons ago (it could not be my poor generalship). A good time was had by all and the tournament will be held again at the next ATC.
