This past July's Warparty '03 convention was a mixture of both old and new. It was our first year at our new location, the Charles A Brigham, Jr., Masonic Temple. This year we offered both dealer and flea market space. Warparty '03 entertained the 80 attendees with old friendships, fun, delicious food, prizes, and 19 great miniature events. The Warparty games covered a wide spectrum of figure scales and historical periods. All of these were impressive in both concept and presentation. Another excellent job by the GMs. Whether it was Mike Demana winning Jim William's morning DBA tourney with his feared Khmer army, or Steve Fox taking home a prized Jupiter Mech in the night's Mechwarrior tourney, participants saw plenty of continuous action. Remember to bring your camera next year -- you don't want to miss the fun! Our hearty thanks to all who attended Warparty '03 -- the players, generous GMs, staff (especially our kitchen crew), as well as our supporting dealers. We sincerely thank them for their unfailing help with Warparty and our hobby. O our benefactors include Acme Games, Boardwalk, Cincinnati Sci-Fi, The Free Trader, HobbyTown of Waterstone Blvd., Iron Wind Metals, The Nafziger Collection, Star Books and Games, and The Tin Soldier. With everyone's help, donations, raffle and food receipts, we covered this year's expenses and are now planning Warband '04 and Warparty'04. Both convention teams are returning next year and are planning three exciting changes: Warband will be moved forward to February, Warparty will be moved forward to June, and Warparty will be expanded to include Friday night gaming. Both shows will remain free. Tentative dates, locations, and contacts for these 2004 HMGSGL sponsored conventions are:
