Here are the latest Mid American Championship (MAC) standings after GenCon:

  • Mike Pfanenstiel, 40 points, 3 qualifying events
  • Scott Jeske, 40 points, 4 events
  • Darrell Smith, 30 points, 2 events
  • Jeff Fletcher, 25 points, 3 events
  • Rich Novak, 20 points, 1 event
  • Doug Anderson, 15 points, 3 events
  • Mike Hart, 15 points, 2 events
  • Pat McCabe, 10 points, 1 event
  • Chuck Hines, 5 points, 1 event

Our next event is Summer Fury at Lucky 13's in Princeton, IN, Aug. 23. Starting time is 9 am, 400 points, three 3.5 hour rounds with defender getting last bound. ONE list allowed. Bring your terrain and drop cloth.

Just three more events until GameFest Indy, which is our inaugural championship in Region #6. The overall winner will be awarded the 2004 NICT invitation in addition to having their name placed on the traveling trophy in the position of honor. Remember, the winner of GameFest Indy awarded 10 bonus points in additional to the usual 20/15/10/5 split.

GameFest Indy wil be a two day event, starting at 9 am on both Saturday and Sunday. For those that made Gencon, it might be worth it to pre-register. This will be a two day event, 400 points, two lists allowed. We will use 32-0 scoring with BHGS interps and modified Swiss Chess pairings.

Also, we will have a short meeting Saturday night after all the games have been completed to discuss some bylaws for 2004. I'm hoping everyone can make it for at least one of the days. Any questions please contact me at: madcam1@peoplepc.com.
