Did Your Family Take Part in WW II?

List them on National Memorial Website

by David S. Doty

There is now a web site about the National World War II Memorial they are building in Washington, D.C. It includes a link to a registry of Americans who contributed to the war effort. Any U.S. citizen who helped win the war, whether a veteran or someone on the home front, is eligible to be placed on the registry by a family member or friend. The registry can be found at www.wwiimemorial.com, and also includes information about the first national memorial dedicated to all who served during WWII.

The memorial will be dedicated May 29, 2004. The Registry combines four distinct databases that can be searched for names of those whose service and sacrifice helped win the second World War. I have looked at the site and it's pretty straight forward and easy to use. I'll be posting my mom and dad to it.
