At Drums Along the Maumee 4, I ran two 54 mm Gladiator Games. The first game, Friday afternoon, saw eight Gladiators vie for the Champion's plaque. The Colbys' own Tim Weber ended up champion, but the other seven Gladiators seemed to enjoy the game, too. Heidi Bender had the bad luck to be the first Gladiator killed in the game -- and it happened in the first turn! Sorry, Heidi. The second game took place Saturday afternoon, and again I had eight eager Gladiators, ready for battle. The Champion and winner of the plaque was Jonathon Hill. Again, the others enjoyed the game. Heidi Bender played, again, and lasted a little longer this time around. In both contests, there were four separate battles going on, with the winner advancing, until we had a champion. I'm making some adjustments to the game and will be running it three days at Origins and once at Warparty.
