For the second year, Great Lakes, in conjunction with other HMGS chapters and the fine folks at Gencon, will host the Historicals at Gencon or HAG program. Last year, with little notice, we managed to pull together a program of 32 events. This year, we seek at least to double that. However, we are faced with a unique challenge as Gencon falls on the same weekend as Historicon. While we do not want to take away from Historicon, we recognize that many folks either can't make the trip east for various reasons, or would just rather stay closer to home. Gencon is also a fine opportunity to spread the word to those "other" folks who may have heard of historical miniatures gaming, but have never seen anything like it before, or were afraid to try it and see what it is all about. This is where YOU come in. Right now, we need GMs and volunteers. If you are free the weekend of July 24-27, please help us out. David Van Hoose and I are coordinating the HAG events for Gencon. If you are interested in running a game or volunteering to help, let us know and we'll get you the registration forms. We've also been asked to help with their painting contest this year by finding some folks for the historical miniatures side of the competition. I would also love it if we could get a DBA or DBM tournament going at Gencon. Anyone who is willing and able to help out there will be most appreciated. We need all the help we can get with GMs, volunteers and attendees, so come on out and support the program! We have a limited number of slots reserved for free and we are working closely with HMGS Fast for financial support to help ease the cost for additional gamers. This is all the more good reason to sign up early. After you sign up, we will pass along the registration address for events at Gencon so folks can pre register for your games. Please, if you can make it, help us out. You can contact us at the addresses below. Thanks again.
