Greater Ann Arbor Area Mostly Historical Miniatures Gaming Group - This group of University of Michigan students, staff and "regular people" meets Thursday evenings at members' homes, and once in awhile on Sunday. Central Ohio Gamers Association (COGA) - Meet 10 am - 11 pm on the 2nd Saturday of each month at the Whitehall Public Library. They host a variety of historical miniatures and boardgames. Dave Barr, 2961 Deep Wood Dr., Reynoldsburg, OH 430684015. (614) 864-2044.

Upcoming COGA Events:
May 10, noon "Attack on the Farmhouse," 1/6th scale World War II skirmish using Featherstone's Skirmish Wargaming rules. Lots of 1/6th scale terrain and even a vehicle or two. This BIG game will take up the entire room, and will feature a British 8th Army squad against German Waffens. Additional games possible (GM: Gregg Pittenger).
June 14, noon "Florence vs. Venice,' 15mm Renaissance (GM: Dennis Roeder).
June 14, 6pm "Sword and the Flame," British vs. Zulus (GM: Brian Lockard).
July 12, 1 pm "Desperado," 25mm Wild West (GM: Eric Adamaszek).
Sept. 13, noon "Seven Years War," in 15mm (GM: Lind Pratt).
Nov. 8, noon "1/6th Scale WW H Skirmish," Russians vs. Germans, using Featherstone's Skirmish Wargaming rules and lots of 1/6th scale terrain, and a surprise or two (GM: Gregg Pittenger).
Dec. 13, noon "Sword and the Flame," 25mm Colonials (GM: Lind Pratt).

Colby Street Irregulars - This group has been meeting for more than 16 years on Wednesdays, 7-11 pm, in the Toledo area. They game all periods and run events at Glass City Games, from time to time. Looking at some old photos, we see more gray hair, more missing hair, glasses and larger bellies! Here is a list of what we're up to:
A demo game is coming in April to Glass City Games -- World War II infantry fight.
The "Johnson's 3" went to Seven Years War in South Bend and had a good time. Tim and Jim went to Battlefields for the Pro or Con group for a battle.
As of today, Drums 4 has 33 events. A list is in this Herald and on the Great Lakes web site (along with a Dealer List). The Stooge Council has met this last week to pound in any loose nails. Possibly six "dead Colbys" will be resurrected to help with the convention and renew old stories and lies.
Drums will have two large "Kodak moment" -- Gordon Andrews' massive Peking/ Boxer Rebellion Game and a 30'x30' GI Joe Game by Chris Van der Sluis, featuring a 40" long Tiger Tank!
Money is in place for months for Drums 5 next May.
Jim has been going to Fremont's Hayes Museum this winter for history seminars on the Civil War. Also trying to gain some power in a better setup for next October's Civil War Re-enacter Weekend for the HMGSGL Demos.
Dennis has "Colbyized" his Armor Game some to give it a better feel.
All the projects reported on last year are still undone. We'll to them ... some day.
BIG NEWS! White Castles are coming to Toledo for all you fellow Slider Biters!" -Colonel Colby (looking for a clean paint brush).

Confederation of Friends - This Indiana club's specialty is 20mm Napoleonics. The 10 members have armies to represent all combatants of the 1809 time period. Duke Robinson, PO Box 47, Owensville, IN 47665. (812) 729-7651.

Conflict Simulations Club - This Indiana University group does historical miniatures, board games and fantasy/sci-fi. They meet Sundays 11 am - 6pm in the Indiana University Memorial Union (usually in the Tree Suites), enjoying Ancients; Horse and Musket era and 20th Century games. Gettysburg - York Gamers - This group specializes in 15mm American Civil War using Johnny Reb III rules. Scott Mingus, 1383 Sterling Drive, York PA 17404. Update: "Scott Mingus Sr., Scott Jr., and Curt Daniels presented a very well attended post-dinner wargaming demonstration in nearby Gettysburg at the American Legion as part of the "Winds of Valor" spring gathering of historians, authors, and enthusiasts (after a long weekend of battlefield tramping!). Most of the 60 attendees had never before seen a miniature wargame, and excitement was high. A number of new converts to the hobby were created!
Our Cold Wars game of "The Battle of Lancaster" went extremely well, with a fun filled, tense, closely balanced game that went down to the final game turn before the Yankee militia finally held the city against Jubal Early's persistant attacks.
The 2nd volume of my "Enduring Valor: Gettysburg in Miniature" full color scenario book has been completed and orders are being taken at www.zouavemagazine.com. Permission has been granted by the government for us to present a wargaming demonstration in the Antietam Visitor's Center. Historical Gamers of Indianapolis (or 19 Plus 1) - Meets every Tuesday and some Saturdays for historical games. The address is 2060 E. 54th St., Village Commons, Suite 4, Indianapolis, IN 46220. Kanawha Riflemen - Great Lakes' first club in West Virginia serves our fast-growing community of members in that state. They have about 15 full time members that play just about anything, including all periods of historical miniatures, as well as some Sci-Fi, roleplaying and Warhammer. Mid-Ohio Gamers' Group (M.O.G.G.) - This group was formed in 1980 from a close group of friends and expanded its variety of games, held various Medieval and World War II battles at cons, and offered competitive challenges to other local clubs. The Minatures and Gaming Association at The Ohio State University - This group plays a mix of historical and fantasy, on the campus of OSU. They host multiple games every Saturday (except during breaks) in the basement meeting rooms of the Ohio Union, noon till I Ipm. All guests are welcome. North Coast Wargamers - These guys are a club of friends and family members, with no dues, memberships, etc. Their specialty is 15mm ACW (Johnny Reb), AWI and Plain Indians. Twinsburg Wargame Association - This group of around 20 wargamers gets together about once a week, usually in Club "Enlightened Despot" Rich Oster's basement. They also run games at stores around the Cleveland and Akron area. They run campaigns, including a World War I aerial Canvas Eagles one, and hold bimonthly DBA Ancients mini-tourneys. Wayne's Legion Historical Gamers - This group was formed a decade ago by a bunch of guys from the Dayton area, who share like-interests. Not only do we game together, but we have toured battlefields together, and feel that historical miniatures should be enjoyable -- not something that feels like work.
