First let me start off by thanking everyone that voted. The official results are as follows:

31 votes were cast.

• Steve Smith received 29 votes
• John Adkins received 29 votes
• Write in candidate Kent Boelling received 2 votes

According to our election official, Jeff Chattin, two people voted for only one candidate. This caused the total number of votes and votes cast to be 2 votes short of matching the total. Steve Smith retains his seat on the Board and John Adkins will be taking the position now held by Bud Hunter. The new terms are for three years and will officially start on Jan. 1, 2003. Congratulations to Steve and John. Thanks to Kent Boelling for throwing his hat into the ring as a write in candidate. I'd also like to thank Bud Hunter for a job well done during his time on the Board of Directors.

I'd also like to remind everyone about GameFest Indy, coming up Nov. 22-24 at the Indiana State Fair Grounds. More on this convention is available elsewhere in The Herald.
