This year, HMGS Great Lakes is teaming with Advantage Convention Services (www.advantageconvention.com), to bring historical miniatures gaming to Gamefest Indy. We are calling this project Historical Miniatures at Gamefest (H-MAG).
The deal we have worked out with Advantage Convention Services includes a free convention pass for Game Masters as follows: 1 event = 1 day pass; 2 events = 2 day pass; and 3 events = 3 day pass. Just like with the Historicals Origins Team (HOT), project H-MAG is going to give us one more chance to either play Historical Miniatures or show off our Game Master skills. In the past, Great Lakes has down a great job of supporting both our own conventions and HOT. Right now, we are looking for Game Masters to host events at Gamefest-Indy 2002. Historical Miniature dealers should contract Advantage Convention Services concerning table space. The Convention is scheduled for Nov. 22-24 at the State Fair Grounds, Indianapolis, IN. This will be our first year at this convention, therefore we would really like to make a great showing, both in games and attendance. We are interested in scheduling events in all historical periods. The Game Master event form is available from www.hmgsgl.org, our yahoo group site, or by sending me a self-addressed stamp envelope. The deadline for events to make the September issue of The Herald is Sept. 1. To make the GamefestIndy Program, the deadline is Oct. 22. For more information, please e-mail me at davidkvh@aol.com.
