Just a few administrative notes: We will only be using 2nd Edition army lists from this date on. We will be using DBM 3rd edition until the next version comes out. Our next tournament will be at Capcon, 10 am, Saturday, April 13. For 15mm, 400 APs; for 25mm, 350 APs. Two lists, same year and geographic area. The Hoplite trophy will be awarded at the end of the tournament. A $5 entry fee will be collected at the Umpire desk. Summer Sword will be held Saturday, June 1, at the Buckeye Soldier Shop. Start time will be at 11 am. We will be using the mini format - 200 APs. The results from the doubles tournament held Feb. 2 at the Buckeye Soldier Shop are as follows:
2. Doug Anderson and Steve Phallen, Central Asian City States, 14 pts. 3. Dave Cannane and Dennis Roeder, Later Carthaginian, 10 pts. 4. Jeff Fletcher and Brian Bailey, Patrician Roman, 6 pts. As always, a good time was had by all. The Buckeye Soldier Shop furnished both winners with trophies. Thanks guys, for another good turnout. The competition was closer than the scores indicate. There are a couple of topics I would like feedback on.
2) I will make available colored dots to color code your units by commands. I encourage you to take advantage of this tool, as it may well save many arguments. 3) I saw a neat idea that Brain Bailey used in our game. He would use a marker to denote what battles he had fought. Since we were doing a lot of knight vs. knight battles, I thought it was a cool idea. Thanks Brian! 4) I plan on starting another Hoplites and Phalanxes campaign in June, and will last until December. Let me know it you are interested. I hope to see you all at Capcon, April 12-14. Cold Wars is the weekend after, April 19-21. Back to The Herald 46 Table of Contents Back to The Herald List of Issues Back to MagWeb Master Magazine List © Copyright 2002 by HMGS-GL.
