by Great Lakes Chairman of the Board
Jack E. Shaw, Sr.
It's hard to believe that it's almost time for Drums Along the Maumee. I hope everyone can attend, it's a great time. I've already made my Hotel reservations, don't miss out. For Hotel information, go to the Great Lakes web site and go to the Drums Along the Maumee section. Also at Drums, as I reported earlier, there will be a short Membership meeting at 9 am Saturday. We will be voting on a by-laws change concerning the corporate address of the Great Lakes chapter of HMGS. The old address was that of a former Board Member. In addition to the address change, and to prevent this from happening again, we'll also add that "This address will automatically change whenever a new Chairman of the Board takes office." There will also be short reports on Drums 3, Warparty 2002 and ATC 2002. At last year's Advance the Colors, several Great Lakes members asked about T-shirts. I'm happy to announce that we have purchased T-shirts and they'll be available at Drums, Warparty and ATC. They look very nice and we managed to keep the price low --just $12 each. And a reminder that HMGS Great Lakes Game Day at the Tin Soldier will be the first Sunday of the month, beginning April 7. I'll be hosting that game starting at noon, Galley Wars, 15mm Greek vs. Persian. I'll supply the ships and crews. It's also the game I'm running at Drums. Bud Hunter will be hosting The Battle of Meggido (WarHammer Ancients), May 5. If any Great Lakes Member would like to run a game on the first Sunday of the month, just contact Mark at the Tin Soldier.
