for Origins 2002

Historical Miniatures game masters are needed for Origins, July 4-7, 2002, Columbus, OH. HOT, or HMGS Origins Team needs you! Join us again for HOT 2002 and Game Master an event at Origins this year!

Origins will provide many HOT REWARDS for HMGS Game Masters! According to Anthony J. Gallela, Director of Events for GAMA, "We are very excited to have HMGS participating in Origins 2002." The HOT participants so far include HMGS Great Lakes (The Hosting HMGS organization), HMGS Gamers International, Seven Years War Association, Team Old Glory, JodieCon, and many other groups and clubs. This year, Jim Thomasson of the Colby Street Irregulars in Toledo have promised to send a contingent as well. Other clubs, groups and individual GMs please answer the call soon, so you can make it into the 2002 Pre,-Event List and mailings.

The deal is this; You get in Free the Day of the Game you run, and in for the weekend if you run two (6 players, 4 hour minimum per game). See below. To get this deal you MUST identify yourself as a HOT GM and PLEASE send the GM application to peterpanzeri@hotmaii.com (Use GM form next page.)

As Gallela-at-GAMA says, "We want to get to work right away on building not just a schedule of events, but an atmosphere where historical gamers don't just want to come to Origins, but where they NEED to come." GAMA had but one question for us: "What can we do/provide that will inspire historical gamers?"

As HOT grows yearly at Origins, historical gamers -DO- need to come, to both promote the hobby, and HAVE FUN! ACT NOW!!! The deadline for the PreEvent book is Jan. 11, 2002. All Historical Miniatures GM's PRE-Registering to run two events (4 hour, 6 player minimum each) receive a free 4-day Badge ($60 value. A one day badge is given for one-event GMs.) and a HOT Ribbon to GM a 3rd game on Thursday or Sunday. (HOT ribbons normally cost $ 10 and permit play in ALL Historical Miniatures games). Act now! Rules Complexity (SIMPLE - rules explained in 10 minutes; AVERAGE; COMPLEX - complicated rules requiring study;

Experience Required (NONE; SIMILAR - all rules taught, but must have experience with similar games; SOME - some rules taught, must have played the game before; MASTER - no rules taught, must know game well).

NOTE: instead of listing a continual event (i.e., an event with the same description over and over) you can give a standard description with a listing of days/times the event will be running.
