The HMGS Great Lakes Chapter will hold Advance the Colors 2002 at the Holiday Inn, Springfield, OH, Sept. 13-15. There will be over 107 tables awaiting event hosts and dealers during the 50 hours of the convention. We have a block of 25 rooms for the convention and we will be watching this number. More rooms will be added if they are needed. At ATC 01, we used 15 rooms on Friday and 16 on Saturday. It's never to early to start making plans to attend ATC, so give the Holiday Inn a call at (937) 323-8631. For advance information on hosting an event, or to volunteer to take on a convention staff position, please join the e-mail news group (www.yahoogroups/HMGSGL). If you are interested in assisting your chapter as either an event host or a volunteer and don't have internet access, or don't want to join the newsgroup, call me at (317) 581-8840, or send an email to: davidkvh@aol.com. Below, you will find the budget for ATC 02 and the convention fees. There will be no change to the price of dealer tables this year and our goal is to sell 30 tables. We have decided not to sell Daily or Weekend convention badges for the convention, as we have done in previous years. We will have one price that gets you into the convention for the whole weekend which is $3 less than last year's weekend rate. A convention attendee who is not a HMGS member would save $ 10 by joining HMGS Great Lakes, plus they would receive all the benefits of membership, including six issues of The Herald. We are in the planning stages of this year's Raffle. We would like to do a painted unit raffle using the same format that was used this year at both ATC and Warparty. In the next few days, we will be sending out information to the membership looking for painted units (and other items for the raffle). Advance the Colors 2002 BudgetExpenses and Cost
