The Great Lakes chapter of HMGS held there annual flag ship convention, Advance the Colors 2001, Sept 14-16. As in past years, the convention was a very enjoyable experience for all who attended. A complete convention report will be included in the next issue of The Herald, along with a call for volunteers for Advance the Colors 2002.

I would also like to request that all game masters who hosted events at ATC write an after action report to be included in the same issue. Also, please check out the photo section of the HMGS Great Lakes mail list for pictures from the convention.

As for next year, it is time for all of us to start planning. Advance The Colors 2002 will be held at the same great location, Sept. 13-15, 2002, in Springfield, OH. You can expect the same high quality events and dealers that attended this yearŐs event. And you can count on the staff of Advance The Colors to continually seek ways to make our convention the best all-historical miniatures convention in the Midwest.
