On Feb. 10, Members of the Board of Directors visited the Holiday Inn in Springfield, OH, the site for this year's Advance the Colors. Present were Bud Hunter, Andrew York and Jack Shaw. Tom Bryant and David Van Hoose were unable to attend, due to the distance for Tom, and illness striking David and his family. Joining the Board were Darryl Smith, Recruiting Coordinator, and Colby Street Irregulars Tim Weber and Doug Johnson. Everyone seemed impressed with the Holiday Inn, as it will be a super place for ATC. We were given a tour of the areas we'll be using and measurements were taken to enable us to use the facility to the max. For those planning on staying at the Holiday Inn, visit the ATC web site to find a special rate if you mention HMGS when making your reservations. During the Meeting, Darryl Smith reported on his progress in recruiting new members in HMGS Great Lakes. Tim Weber and Doug Johnson gave the Board a report on the progress of Drums 2. Remember there's a special phone number on the Drums Along the Maumee 2 web site to make your reservations and mention HMGS. A block of 25 rooms has been reserved for us and by mentioning HMGS you get a better rate and help us save some money.
