13th Regiment Wargame Club - This club of 20+ gamers says it is dedicated to creating a respect for military history, spirit of camraderie, and long- standing social bonds through n-tiniatures gaming. Members have a wide variety of interests, and are from southern Indiana and northwestern Kentucky. 101st Alcove Irregulars - This group games in Royal Oak, MI. They do mostly Fire & Fury American Civil War. They are looking for new members to flesh out their club. Contact James Covell, 322 S. Greater Ann Arbor Area Mostly Historical Miniatures Gaming Group - This group of 15+ gamers, has some students and staff of the University of Michigan, but is composed mostly of "regular people." They meet Thursday evenings at members' homes, and try to squeeze in Sunday games once in awhile. Games are played in Saline, MI, about one hour north of the Ohio border. Colby Street Irregulars - This group has been meeting for more than 16 years on Wednesdays, 7-11 pm, in the Toledo area, They game all periods, mostly using their homegrown set of universal rules.     Colby Street Update: "Last issue, we printed a whole page -- whoa! Well, we did all but have the Christmas Party. That seems to be on the way of a Pool party each summer -- easier to fit in. Our Colby Journal is about 1/3rd done -- all the stories, lies, great victories and defeats -- soon on this. The Colby's attended SpartaCon in Lansing, soon we shall go to Detroit for WinterCon. We have two demo's at Glass City Games on Feb. 3. Plans are being made for Seven Years War Con also. We have been working on Drums Along the Maumee 2 convention (May 18-19). Dealer letters of invitation have been sent, the GameMaster letter is being finalized now. The Drums Staff have been woking hard to duplicate the quality convention that was presented last year.

    "Gamewise, we are fine tuning our 15mm Medieval Minature Game based on Battle Cry, our French Foreign Legion Game is done and the 17th Century Ship combat Game is about 90% done. Work is progressing on our Pirates in 25mm: We have ships, cannons, figures and some terrain. Now we have to make up a game for them all! We are trying to put out our own website for the public -- gamers and the curious -- to keep in touch with us. We hope to present an address that will tie many of the Conventions, Groups and focus areas that we are all interested in. This Winter was supposed to be slower than past ones -- nope, it ain't! Conflict Simulations Club - This group of gamers from Indiana University does mostly historical miniatures, with occasional board games and fantasy/ sci-fi. They meet Sundays 11 am - 6 pm. in the Indiana University Memorial Union (usually in the Tree Suites). The club's members enjoy Ancients using DBA / DBM / DBR and Might of Arms, Volley & Bayonet, Republique, Johnny Reb, Battleground (World War II and Vietnam), Command Decision and Blue Max.     G3 Update: "Please note that MichiganGamers@egroups.com and my site for SHAG/Gargoyle Gamers Group at: http://www.egroups.com/group/G3_CLUB_SITE both have a CHAT site! That means we need the time and date and site location. I am likely to be free on Thursday nights, or Sunday nights (7 pm -11 pm). Also, note that Jim could open an egroups site (or I could) for contacts. Site also has a calender (not a good one but workable). Also has FILES where we can post maps and any pictures. If your are a member ($0) any message to the site can automatically be sent to all members. Historical Gamers of Indianapolis (or 19 Plus 1) - Meets every Tuesday and some Saturdays for historical games. The address is 2060 E. 54th St., Village Commons, Suite 4, Indianapolis, IN 46220. Mid-Ohio Gamers' Group (M.O.G.G.) - This group was formed in 1980 from a close group of friends dedicated to medieval and fantasy miniatures. In its growth, M.O.G.G. expanded its variety of games, held various Medieval and World War II battles at cons, gained new members, and offered competitive challenges to other local dubs. The Miniatures and Gaming Association at The Ohio State University This group has been meeting for years, playing a mix of historical and fantasy, on the campus of OSU. They play multiple games every Saturday (except during breaks) in the basement meeting rooms of the Ohio Union, noon till 11pm. All guests are welcome and there is no charge. North Coast Wargamers - These guys are a club of friends and family members, with no dues, memberships, etc. Their specialty is 15mm ACW (Johnny Reb), AWI and Plains Indians. Rochester Historical Simulations Group - This group meets at 11:30 am on the 3rd Sunday of the month at Millennium Books and Games in Rochester. They do Ancients, World War II, Mexican-American, ACW` and Napoleonics. David Abraham, 38 Brewerton Dr., Rochester, NY 14624. (716)594- 9717.

Society of Military Gamers - This group has around 50 registered members and is growing fast. They play nearly every period from Ancients to Modern Armor, and also have a board game sect. Members use many rule sets, including Piquet, DBM, DBA, Volley & Bayonet, Command Decision, Battleground World War II and various home rules. The SMGs meet every other Friday night at The Soldiery in Columbus. Meetings begin at 9 pm and go throughout the night. All those interested in historical gaming are welcome!     SMG Update: "The SMGs acquired our 120th newsletter member last week, and the group continues toflourish. We've been playtesting a local author's American Revolution rules prior to publication and have been playing quite a bit of modern microarmor, PK Ancients and Seven Years Wan " -- Joe

Twinsburg Wargame Association - This group of around 20 wargamers gets together about once a week, usually in Club "Enlightened Despot Rich Oster's basement. Wayne's Legion Historical Gamers - This group of gamers from the Cincinnati and Dayton area dabbles in a variety of periods. Every dub member is also a member of FIMGS Great Lakes.     Wayne's Legion Update: "Our website is coming along slowly. It contains information about gaming, the Indian Wars of the 1790s and historical and gaming links. Also, our slightly updated rules for gaming Fallen Timbers, called 'Our Moccasins Trickled Blood,' can be located there. The URL is listed above. Also, our e- group now boasts of 16 members (the Wayne's Legion gang has nearly doubled!). And every member of our group is a member of Great Lakes. We challenge other groups to match that -- it would help GL grow!
