ATC 2001

Site and Hotel Set

by David K. van Hoose, ATC 2001 Convention Director

Advance the Colors will be held Friday, Sept. 14 through Sunday, Sept. 16, 2001, at the Holiday Inn, Springfield, OH. Springfield is located between Columbus and Dayton on I-70. The Holiday Inn is located at 383 E. Leffel Lane, Exit 54 off of I-70.

The hotel is similar to the location we used in Dayton, in that there is a holidome area with an indoor swimming pool. There is also a full service restaurant and lounge on the premises. Rooms at the Holiday Inn will be $69 per night, but you must mention the Historical Miniatures Gaming Society to receive this discounted rate. This rate is good until Sept. 1, 2001 -- so make your reservations today! Other hotels in the area include a Fairfield Inn, a Knights Inn, a Days Inn, and a Ramada Limited. However, I encourage you to stay at the Holiday Inn, as it helps keep the site costs down.

Currently, I am looking for an Event Director for ATC 2001. This person would be responsible for scheduling all events and management of the events during the convention. Also I am looking for assistance with the management of the Registration Desk during the convention. If you would like to assist me with either of these positions, please contact me at: David K. van Hoose, 10581 Brookview Dr., Carmel, IN 46032. (317) 581-8840, or e-mail: Davidkvh@aol.com.
