Treasurer's Report

ATC 2000 Convention

by Andrew A. York, HMGS Great Lakes Treasurer

Due to the short time between ATC and the deadline for this issue of the Herald, I have not been able compile a detailed report on the convention, but I did want to give everyone some rough numbers as to how we did.

Expenses:
Rental of Sharonville Convention Center : $3,600.00
Table & chair rental, delivery charges & sales tax : $856.40
(90 Tables @ $6.00 each. 120 Chairs @ $1.25 each)
Programs, Postage, & Badges: $486.74
Pens & Copying of Membership Applications: $27.85
Total Expenses: $4,970.99

Revenue:
Dealer Checks received prior to the con: $800.00
Revenue from Admission, T-shirt sales, membership renewals & Silent Auction: $3,504.00
Jack's Candy & Pop sales: $59.70
Total Revenue: $4,363.70
Loss: - $607.29

Please bear in mind that these are tenative numbers, I will have a fuller and more detailed accounting (breaking down the numbers into more details on expenses and revenue) to the board in a few weeks and to the membership in the next issue of the Herald. Given the high cost of the center (About the only place we could find with the right size and weekend available) I am personally glad that we seem not to have lost as much as I thought we might.

Our costs for Drums Along the Maumee and for ATC in 2001 should be much less than the Sharonville Convention Center, so by this time next year we should be in pretty good financal shape.

I will have a formal Treasurer's Report in the next issue of the Herald.
