Thank you for giving me the opportunity to manage this year's Advance the Colors. I hope that everyone had as good as time as I did. I'm already thinking and planning for next year, and the years after that. I want to thank everyone who attended the convention this year. I also want to thank a number of people who assisted me with the convention:
Mike Demana, who handled the ads and game master forms in the newsletter. Brian O'Leary, who put together a "How To" of information for me concerning events and event scheduling. Ray Garbee, who found the convention center and handle all the contract items with the convention center. Andrew York, who ensured we had tables and chairs for the events. Darryl Smith, our vendor director, who ensured we would have a good mix of vendors to spend our money with during the convention. Joe Fox, who ensured that our member list was up to date for the convention check-in desk. Jack Shaw, who sent Press announcements to newspapers, radio and TV stations. Jack Shaw also ensured we all had a drink when we needed it, or a food coupon when we got hungry. The Game Masters, for putting on some very interesting events that, from what I saw and heard, were enjoyed by all. The vendors who brought something for everyone's gaming table. Jeff Chatin and his son who assisted with the tables, chairs, signs and the front desk all weekend long. I cannot forget to thank my wife Linda and daughter who assisted me the night before the convention with folding all the programs. I am sure I am leaving someone out, but I just wanted everyone to know that planning and running a convention is a team effort. Lastly, I want to share with you some interesting metrics from the convention:
Number of e-mails while planning the convention - 1573 Number of ATC post cards mailed - 1200 Game Proposal forms sent out - 360 Vendor tables - 27 Events Scheduled - 44; Game Masters - 33 Tables - 90; Chairs - 125 Size of the Convention center - 9,672 square feet.
