We would like to thank everyone who attended our convention in Toledo, and for making it an enjoyable experience for us. IT WAS A LOT OF WORK! We hope that everyone had a good time and was able to find everything without difficulty. There are so many issues to address when planning an event of this size, that it takes a committed group of people to make it work. We would like to thank Darryl Smith for his patience and expert advice that certainly made our event successful. The planning of this event helped to give our group a renewed sense of purpose. Not only were we having fun gaming every week, but by volunteering to help with the convention we also made promoting the hobby a goal of our club. Our gaming convention should be considered a family reunion because we all get together and enjoy talking about our experiences. We are a family of like-minded people who share common interests. By having a gaming convention we open up the hobby to the public and hopefully increase interest as well. Historical miniature gaming is an important endeavor and should be publicized when ever possible. The young gamers of today are usually playing cards or role-playing and are not always aware of our activities. Remember that the card-carrying kid of today might be converted to historical gaming when they get older, and wiser.
