As you have probably noticed by now, I have a thing for saving battlefields. What better way to preserve the land which we recreate on tabletop than by supporting those organizations with a few dollars? Instead of buying that next pack of longbowmen or Shermans, spend a few dollars and help one (or more!) of the organizations below. You can't get a true feeling of the battlefield if you are trying to view it from a strip mall or parking lot. Look for more preservation groups in future issues.

Camp Wildcat Battlefield

With funds raised by the Camp Wildcat Preservation Foundation and other organizations, critical battlefield lands have been purchased. Perryville Battlefield

The Perryville Battlefield Preservation Association is a non-profit organization that has placed more than 300 acres of pristine battlefield land under protection. A membership donation of $25 or more entitles you to a free subscription to their newsletter "Action Front." This quarterly publication is mailed to 2000+ people nationwide. If you would like to become a "Friend of the Battlefield" to protect Perryville and advance its preservation, simply give them your name and address.
