Ray has already mentioned in his article the names of the venders that graced ATC'99 with their presence this year, but I wanted to add a bit more to the story to give our members an idea of what happens behind the scenes at ATC. First of all, I personally want to thank all of the dealers who came to ATC. I did speak to many of them before they left the con, but I wanted to state again that their support of HMGS Great Lakes is very much appreciated. Without quality dealers, ATC would not draw the increased attendance it does every year. A big "hats off" to our 15 dealers this year! Secondly, I want to thank our attendees who parted with their hard-earned cash in our dealer area. Without you, we wouldn't have any dealers. Many of the dealers have expressed interest in returning to next year'sshow. I heard comments such as "great atmosphere," "friendly," "helpful," "great time," and "we'll be back" from the dealer area. Our goal is to make our dealers feel welcome, to help them in anyway we can, and to make sure the efforts they make to come to ATC is worth it financially to them. To that end, I made sure I was available as much as possible to help unload, answer questions, and whatever else I could do to make our dealers enjoy ATC. Next year, I am planning on soliciting volunteers to help in these endeavors. If we could have two or three individuals arrive at ATC early on Friday to help unload the dealers as they come in, and to help them load as Pey depart, we could make the dealers appreciate ATC even more. I also want to make sure we have plenty of ice water in the dealer area, as well as table coverings. A little help from a member or two will go a long way, so if anyone is interested in helping a bit, please let me know. As for next year's dealer selection, we will be hoping to have the same great variety as we did this year. However, ATC 2000 is an entire year away, and right now I need to catch up on sleep missed from ATC 99!
