Great Lakes Area

Here is a list of some of the gaming groups in the Great Lakes area. If you would like your club listed, send the particulars (days you meet, types of gaming, your group name and contact point) to The Herald.

Central Ohio Gamers Association (COGA) Meet 10am - 9 pm on the 2nd Saturday of each month at the Whitehall Community Park building and on the 4th Saturday at the Soldiery East. Colby Street Irregulars This group has been meeting for more than 16 years on Wednesdays, 7-11 pm, in the Toledo area. They game all periods -their latest specialty being a homegrown set of "universal" rules. Current projects include using these rules for WWII infantry combat with Baffle Honors figures, Wild West gunfighter gamers with five-man gangs and medieval fights with crossbows, cavalry, etc. Get in touch with them about the annual "Great Colby" -- the year's final battle and Christmas party. The Minatures and Gaming Assoclation at The Ohio State University This group has been meeting for years, playing a mix of historical and fantasy, on the campus of OSU. Rochester Historical Simulations Group This group meets at 11:30 on the third Sunday of the month at Millennium Books and Games in Rochester. South Eastern Michigan Association of Gamers (SEMAG) This group has grown to 17 historical gamers and meets one Saturday a month at at Alcove Hobbies (see "Down at the Hobby Store"). November's meeting featured a Fire and Fury game, December will be a medieval battle using Broadsword Rules and January is scheduled for AWl, using homemade rules. Utica, Michigan, club startup I have moved just out of Sterling Heights and am now in Utica, MI. I want to start a new club in this area. I run WWII naval, 15mm WWII skirmish and both WWII and Modern Armor in 1/285. I also stoop to WH40k and WFB, as well as skirmish in any period. I play anything miniature.
