Review by Jason Mirosavich
All 19 of the packs released so far in this range are described as Landsknechts / Swiss in the catalog and could easily pass for either. Sent for review were: RENMERC 15, Handgunners There are 8 different figures in this pack, two loading, two at rest and three aiming/firing. All are unarmored with assorted hats, all but two have slashed sleeves. The detail is up to WF's usual excellent standard, especially in the faces and clothing (a must for landsknechtsl). They are well animated, especially the firing poses, and are cleanly cast with little to no flash. Cost $10 RENMERC 16, Command 7 different poses in this pack, including a drummer and a flutist (both unarmored) in addition to 5 officers. Three of the officers have sword drawn, one has a shortened pike or spear and one has his hand resting on his sword pommel. Armor varies from none to breastplate and tassets. The officers are very animated and seem to be urging their troops on to battle. Four of the figures require one arm to be glued on, but the pieces fit together easily with no problems. Again, the detail is exquisite with little to no flash. I would heartily recommend both of these packs to spice up any renaissance army. The other packs in the range so far include pikemen, halberdiers, and more handgunners.
