by Great Lakes Treasurer Joe Cairo
This report is current as of September 17, 1998 (which means that your treasurer is looking forward to heading to Dayton tomorrow for Advance the Colors 98). Most of the treasury activity over the past two months has been directly related to preparing for HMGS-Great Lakes flagship gaming convention. For this year's event, the Board of Directors approved the production of a limited number of t-shirts. If early sales are any indication, we expect these to sell out quickly. Other costs have been incurred in the printing and mailing of postcards and the preliminary event listing (PEL) for the convention. Miscellaneous expenses include the purchase of a cash box to be used at our chapter's convention, and postage for a postcard mailing in support of our chapter's participation at Capcon earlier this year. On the credit side, membership dues continue to grow steadily, as our chapter does the same. Lastly, additional income was received in the form of dealer deposits for Advance the Colors. The next issue of The Herald will feature a complete financial report for our convention. Summary of Treasury Activity (as of September 17, 1998) Previous Treasury Balance $3,836.49 Income:
