Book Holders Save Table Space

Painting Tip

by Craig Charron, MGM

I love uniform books! I enjoy looking at the pictures, collecting them (I've got 98 Osprey's), and occasionally reading the words that go along with the "purty pictures." The problems, however, have always been keeping the book open to the right page, keeping paint and "crud" off them, plus the space they take up when placed on the table. Also, there is the pain of repeatedly handling the book as you paint each detail.

I think I have found the solution, though. Cook book holders. These gems of convenience are clear plastic holders bent in such a way as to keep books upright and open on a counter top. They also protect the book from flying "crud." They are wonderful I An added bonus is they take up only a few precious inches on my crowded painting table. You can find them in any kitchen supply store in malls and even at Dollar/Big Lots type stores.

This will be a painting investment you won't regretl
