Income during the past two months includes the chapters first advertising revenue, as the expanded Herald can now accommodate dealer ads. We have also received some dealer deposits for tables at Advance the Colors 98. Most notable, however, is a nice increase in membership dues, largely due to a concerted recruiting effort by the Board of Directors and our members. These efforts most recently culminated in the chapter's successful participation at Origins 98 here in Columbus during the weekend of July 4th. A hearty thanks to all those HMGS members who helped promote historical miniatures gaming at this national event. Expenses include a one-time imprint permit fee to allow the chapter to use a pre-printed postage indicia on all bulk rate mailings instead of the time-consuming precancelled stamps.
