Matched Historical Pairs DBA Tournament

The following are the results of the Matched Historical Pairs DBA Tournament at Capcon '98. The tournament consisted of four rounds. Eight historical battles were presented:

    Crimisus, 341 B.C. (Early Carthaginian vs. Later Hoplite Greek)
    Cynoscephalae, 197 B.C. (Republican Roman vs. Later Macedonian)
    Mons Graupius, 84 A.D. (Early Imperial Roman vs. Caledonian)
    Nechtansmere, 685 A.D. (Pictish vs. Northumbrian)
    Hastings, 1066 A.D. (Anglo-Saxon vs. Norman)
    Bremulae, 1119 A.D. (Feudal French vs. Anglo-Norman)
    Leignitz, 1241 A.D. (Mongols vs. Poles)
    Lake Peipus, 1242 A.D. (Teutonic Knights vs. Early Russian)

Columbus gamer Tom Graves won the tournament with victories as the Poles, Caledonians and Picts. Congratulations go to Tom! The best won-loss record decided the winner. Points scored was the first tie breaker, with points given up as second. Preparations work for the tournement was done by Terry Hollern, Allens Sams and Mike Demana.
