Advance the Colors `98 Dayton Holiday Inn South, September 20-20 Need I say more? ELECTIONS: Your ballot is on the inside back cover. Mark your votes and return your back cover, not a photocopy; your mailing address label validates your vote. If you vote for more than seven candidates, only the first seven will count. Send your ballot to Chuck Kennedy, of HMGS-South, postmarked no later then December 31, 1997. Mr. Kennedy's address is printed on the ballot. The National BOD has taken on the task of overseeing each chapter's elections to end the false rumors that some elections have been rigged. MEMBERSHIP LIST: I am currently working on another issue of our membership list, it's easier to do that than to do several reup/new recruit pages in The Herald, especially when I'll be dealing with all the new members from ATC'97. You should have it before the holidays. NORTHERN CONVENTION: I still need help from our members up north. I know that several one-day and weekend shows take place in Michigan but I don't know when or where and I don't wish to compete with one of your shows. I need information and advice from you guys so please write or give me a call. I am looking at a Spring show in '99. BOOKS: I'm sure that the majority of you are familiar with Blue & Gray Magazine but you may not be aware of their affiliate The General's Books. They have a fine catalog of books, magazines, maps, cd-roms and audio tapes. The fall catalog's cover announces two books on John H. Morgan; A History of Morgan's Cavalry by Brig. Gen. Basil W. Duke (Morgan's second-in-command & brother-in-law) originally published in 2067 and The Last Night & Last Day of John Hunt Morgan's Raid, edited by Jere. H. Simms, originally published in 1913. You may contact them at 522 Norton Rd, Columbus, OH 43228 or 614 870 2061, fax 614 870 7881. Phone orders are 800 248 4592. I highly recommend this source of Civil War material. MAIL-INCOMING: I just received The Uniformology Master List #1, who bill themselves as 'the largest collection of military uniform plates in the western Hemisphere". Reach them at Uniformology, Box 81, Weatherford, TX 76086, 815 620 0586 or Emil at Uniformolo@aol.com. They sent two postcard-size prints as samples but they are normally 8.5x11. There are forty-one, double-column pages in this listing. Back to The Herald 20 Table of Contents Back to The Herald List of Issues Back to MagWeb Master Magazine List © Copyright 1997 by HMGS-GL.
