Great Looking
but Cheap Carrying Cases

Construction

by Richard W. Hartley

The techniques described in this article could be used for almost any period, but I use them to store my DBA armies. I use cheap, easy to find materials to make attractive carrying cases for my miniatures.

First, start with a sturdy cardboard box (a shoe box, frozen food box, etc.) of a size that will hold your miniatures. Cut some magnetic strip to place inside the box ( skip this step if you do not use metal bases on your figures) to hold the miniatures during transport. Now use some contact paper, construction paper, wall paper, or any other type of covering to cover the cardboard box. Lastly, make a neat label for the top of the box and another for the end, and you have a cheap, good looking carrying case.
