A great thing about our hobby is the chance to attend regional or national HMGS conventions. The exposure is teriffic! Each show gives us the opportunity to see new products, try different rule systems, discover innovative tactics and stratagems, face new opponents, and make and renew friendships. At these conventions we share our hobby and spark our imagination with these possibilities. If you haven't experienced such a convention yet, I urge you to include one (see this issue's Convention Calendar) in your plans for the near future. The exposure will do you good. Have fun at the show, and remember that its enjoyability is a result of your volunteer effort. Consider investing four hours of your convention time hosting an HMGS-GL event. With oforethought, preperation, and teamwork an event can be rewarding and enrich the convention program. You reap what you sow. If you are going tot regional or national convention in 1998 and can help our club as an event host, write to me; Rich Smethurst, 203 Albright Dr., Loveland, Ohio 45140-2600. Procrastinators, call me tonight 7:30-10:30 EST at513-677-1683! Let me know what show(s) you'll be attending, your hobby background and interests, and what you like most and least in a miniatures game. We want to assemble a core GM/host team to run fun events at regional and national conventions. Be a part of this team. Surely this exposure will benefit us all!
