Blitzkrieg: Armor Camouflage and Markings 1939-1940
by Steven J. Zaloga
Arms and Armour Press
Villiers House
41-47 Strand
London WC2N 5JE, England

"This book examines the camouflage painting and insignia used on armoured vehicles of the combatant powers during the campaigns at the beginning of the War in Europe in 1939 and 1940." Evan though the book has the above focus with over 300 illustrations, including 61 full color vehicle paintings and 108 insignia; it is also of great use to gamers of the period. Each country involved, including Belgium and Poland, has a section detailing their vehicles through text and captioned pictures. These show many vehicles not normally seen in books about this period, Also included are tank inventory and order of battle lists.

This 96 page, 8 1/2" by 11 1/4" paperback has a large amount of information for both the model builder and the gamer. My book was purchased in London and cost 18.99.
