I was at the Radisson Hotel around 1 o'clock on Thursday to coordinate the setup of the tables with the hotel staff; I can't say that it was the highlight of the weekend but it certainly was entertaining. We had faxed them the layouts of the dealers and gaming areas and when I arrived the only questions were, "How many tables do you need? Ah, can you use round ones?" Brian and I had some amusing long-distance phone calls and I now know what goes on behind the 'employees only doors of a hotel but the upshot of it all was that everything was ready that evening. We were setting up the reception desk around 10 A.M. on Friday when our first two attendees arrived, and from Maryland, no less. Darryl and I exchanged looks of 'I hope we have enough games' and sent them off to find breakfast. But there was nothing to fear, even with the couple of cancellations that can be expected. There were more than enough games, especially on Sunday. I ran a game and was able to play in two. All the dealers were in attendance and they seemed very pleased with the turnout and the cash crossing their palms. Several of them informed me that they want to comeback next year and asked me for the date of the show and whether they could get more tables. Overall the hotel worked with us and the staff with whom we worked had as much fun as we did. The free continental breakfast turned out to be a real meal, not just drinks and cake. My only complaints, and I heard them from a couple of people, was the showers would pulse between hot and cool (cold!) water and the lighting in the DBM room could have been improved. The food court across the street was very convenient and offered many choices. The following is a breakdown of attendees not including visitors (10) or the vendors (18+): Attending Members
