At the April 2, 1996 BOD meeting, the board approved the purchase of 2000 printed return address business envelopes. These envelopes permit mailings to be sent via third class mail, thereby saving on postage costs. In addition, some miscellaneous expenses for copying, postage, and office supplies were reimbursed. All expenditures were approved by a majority of the BOD. Income from dues was down, but it is anticipated that membership renewals will help offset recent expenses. In addition, the board is optimistic that the recent recruitment mailing will generate enough new members to more than offset the cost of the mailing.
