With issue number 11 of The Herald you will find the reappearance of the Classifieds, a directory of Great Lakes Region Gaming Groups, and a calendar of upcoming Gameday Events at hobby shops in our region. Please note the correct date for NASHCON of May 26-28 in the Convention Calendar. Previously, I had listed an incorrect date. For those of you not familiar with this convention, I have been informed by our membership secretary, Ferkin Doyle, that it is a great convention, and with so many of our members from central and southern Ohio, I thought I should mention that it is a little closer to Columbus (OH) than Cold Wars/Historicon. Otherwise, the membership continues to grow, Advance the Colors is rolling along, Gameday events are starting to materialize, and here's a bunch more eye catching, enlightening, stuff in The Herald. Thanks to those who sent in articles. Great Lakes News ATC 96 Brian O'Leary The ANNUAL HMGS-GREAT LAKES MEMBERSHIP MEETING will be held on Saturday, June 8th, at the Whetstone Public Library located at 3909 N. High Street in Columbus, Ohio from Noon to 3:00 pm. Here is your chance to voice your opinions, hope to see you there. Advance the Colors '96 will be held at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Dayton at 11 S. Ludlow St. just off of Route 75 on October 25th, 26th, and 27th, 1996. Effort has been made to make Advance the Colors more "user friendly" than Rally 'Round the Flag was. All attendees will receive a free continental breakfast and there is limited free parking (about 90 spaces in the hotel parking deck) for the duration of the convention. The site is more accessible from the highway, is much more convenient for dealers, and features newly remodeled rooms by the Radisson, as well as, an in house restaurant. A food court is across the street. For more information write to Advance the Colors '96, P.O. Box 8, Trenton, OH 45067 or call (614) 3690857.
