Reenactment Roundup

Indiana, Kentucky,
Ohio, and Pennsylvania 1996

by Darryl R. Smith

With the obvious connection between historical miniature gaming and historical reenactments, I thought that I would compile a listing of reenactments 'which you, the garner, might enjoy going to. Each issue of The Herald I will add to and update this listing as more organizations plan for their reenactments in their area. Any of you who arc reenactors and want to have your event listed, please contact me for inclusion into the next issue.

If you have never been to a reenactment I suggest that you try to make it to one this year. It is interesting to observe the goings on at one of these events, whether it is a small arms or artillery demonstration, or talking to the participants about uniforms and weaponry. As Spring is fast approaching you may want to consider visiting one or more of the numerous events which are being held in our region.

A note on one of the terms used below. A Time Line Event means that they will be a wide variety of re-enactors from different historical eras. typically from the French & Indian War through the American Civil War. These may include Scottish and Indian demonstrations as well.
