The Editor's Desk

Changes

by Brian O'Leary

Hello members! The new Board of Directors is in and there is much activity in our chapter. Be sure to read the Great Lakes news elsewhere in this issue.

After discussion with the BoD. The Herald will go back to the bi-monthly schedule. We felt that going more than two months between issues would greatly reduce the ability of the newsletter to keep members informed about events before they happened. Submission dates for articles are on the front cover.

In an effort to help the BoD serve the membership more effectively, a survey regarding Great Lakes events is included in this issue. If you have any ideas or opinions, please fill out as much of the survey as relates to you and send it in.

Several members have asked about classifieds in the recent past. So we'll try it again, please, send in those ads you questioned me about. If you need game stuff, players, or have something to sell, send in your ad (35 words or less). Please do not call me with advertisements; because, there arc too many periods and game systems that I know nothing about. God only knows what your ad may look like if I take it over the phone.

Ken Van Pelt, the editor for the Heart of America chapter of HMGS, has asked me to mention how absolutely outstanding their conventions have been. I have it from several HMGS members that they run great shows and haven't heard anything bad. If you can make it , go! They run two conventions each year, Call To Arms in April and Border Wars in October for more info look in the Convention Calendar somewhere in this issue.

That's it for now, see you at Cold Wars.
