Welcome to the first issue of The Herald. The Herald will attempt to be a vehicle of communication for Great Lakes Members, helping us to get to know each other better and expanding the reaches of our realm. To do this The Herald needs input from it's members, so please, please send in comments, questions, articles, scenarios, or any interesting information relating to history and/or historical gaming.

As this is my first attempt at such an endeavor, I am sure that The Herald will grow and evolve greatly in the coming months. There are already plans for letters to the editor; book, convention, and game reviews; and classified adds among other things. Here is the chance to express the ideas and opinions that each of you has developed from your many gaming experiences; I look forward to an avalanche of responses in the near future.
