253 The Undefeated 1969 Color 119 John Wayne,Rock Hudson This film starts with the ending of the Civil War. Wayne is an Union Army Commander of a Volunteer Cavalry Regiment which has seen a lot of loses during the war. He and his men leave the army to catch horses for the army. Hudson is a defeated Confederate officer who leads his people south to Mexico, where they have been promised land by Emperor Maximillian's people. When The US Army will not pay a fair price for the horses Wayne takes them to Mexico where he and Hudson become involved with Bandits and the war between Mexico and Emperor Maximillian. Good action.

254 Unforgiven 1960 Color 125m Burt Lancaster,Audrey Hepburn, Audie Murphy, Charles Bickford. Outstanding movie Of two families in 1850's Texas and their struggles. Great battle scene.

255 Unforgiven 1992 Color 131m Clint Eastwood, Gene Hackman This is a dark western with the good guys not being totally good and the bad guys not totally bad. This award winning movie spawned renewed interest in westerns.

256 Union Pacific 1939 135m Joel McCrea,Barbara Standwyck, Robert Preston. This is an outstanding western by Cecil B. DeMille loaded with action.

257 Vengeance Valley 1951 color 83m Burt Lancaster, Robert Walker. Burt is the foreman of the ranch owned by Walker' s father. Things come to a head when Walker is responsible for murder and robbery and Burt must put a stop to it at no matter the cost to himself.

258 Vera Cruz 1955 Color 94m Gary Cooper, Burt Lancaster Cooper and Lancaster are two soldiers of fortune in Mexico where they are hired to help escort a woman to Vera Cruz. Cooper and Lancaster face trouble with each other,the Imperial Mexican forces and Mexican rebels.

259 Villa Rides 1968 Color 125m Robert Mitchum,Yul Bryner, Charles Bronson. Great action movie with Yul as Pancho Villa and Mitchum as an American out to make a buck.

260 Virgina City 1940 121m Errol Flynn, Randolph Scott,Humphrey Bogart. Great Western set during the Civil War. Flynn add his two friend escape from a Confederate prison run by Scott. They are then sent out west because Union intelligence has come across a plot to smuggle gold to the conferderacy and Flynn must stop it. Great action in this Warner Brothers western.

262 The Virginian 1946 Color 90 Joel McCrea This remake of the 1929 picture followed the book closely and spurred interest in the minds of some people at Universal resulting in the TV series many years latter.

263 Wagonmaster 1950 86m Ward Bond, Ben Johnson, JoAnne Dru, Harry Carry Jr. Bond is the Wagonmaster of a wagontrain which has been captured by ruthless criminals and Ben Johnson is the man who mu8t help to save them in this John Ford Western. This movie latter resulted in the TV Series Wagontrain.

264 Wanted: The Sundance Woman 1976 color lOOm Katharine Ross Ross once again plays the same role that she had in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid only this time the weight of the movie is on her head. Good but not great.

265 The Way West 1967 Color 122m Kirk Douglas, Richard Widmark, Robert Mitchum, Sally Fields. Tale of a wagontrain on it way to Oregon and the problems that it faces. Good Movie.

266 Westbound 1959 Color72m Randolph Scott, Andrew Duggan Scott is a Union Officer dispatched back west to make sure that the stage line continues to run. Confederate sympathizers have been helping to rob the gold shipments.

267 Western Union 1941 Color 94m Robert Young, Randolph Scott Story of the struggle to connect the country by telegraph and the problems that the people faced who did it.

268 Westward Ho The Wagons 1956 Color 90m Fess Parker Well made Disney Western of a wagon train on its way out west. Good.

269 Westward the Woman 1951 Colorizedor Black and White Robert Taylor. Tale of a different kind of Wagontrain this one of females on their way to a valley to get married.

270 White Feather 1955 Color 102m Robert Wagner, Jeffrey Hunters Debra Padget. Wagner is a government agent who must move the Cheyenne tribe to a new location. Hunter and Padget are Cheyennes who don't want to go. Good Picture.

271 War Wagon 1967 Color lOlm John Wayne, Kirk Douglas Outstanding movie of the robbery of a moving armored wagon. Plenty of action and some funny momments.

273 The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance 1962 122m John Wayne, Vera Miles, Jimmy Stewart, Lee Marvin. Another great John Ford directed western. It's too bad that arguements over the music royalties resulted in Paramount changing the music on the Videotape release.

274 I Will Fight No More Forever 1975 color 105m Sam Elliot, James Whitmore Outstanding tale of the flight of Chief Joseph and his tribe. Well worth seeing.

275 Tall in the Saddle 1944 79m John Wayne, Gabby Hays, Ward Bond Well made western with Wayne riding in to find out what reilly happen to a relative and undercovering a nnest of crooks.

276 My Darling Clementine 1946 97m Henry Fonda John Ford's telling of the tale of the Earps.

277 Thunder Pass 1954 76m A cavalry patrol must lead settlers to safety despite hopeless odds.

278 3:10 to Yuma 1957 92m Van Hefflin, Glen Ford. Hefflin is a farmer who means to make sure that Ford is put on the 3:10 train which will take him to prison but Ford's friends mean to stop him.

282 Warpaint 1953 color 89m Robert Stack, Peter Graves, Jean Taylor, Stack must deliever a peace treaty to an Indian chief by a certain deadline and he faces troule from both sides.

284 Warlock 1959 color 122m Henry Fonda, Richard Widmark. Anthoy Quinn. Lots of action in this picture where Fonda is brought into the town to deal with a gang which has been running the towns people around and around. Trouble is that they may have just exchange one form for another. Lots of action.

285 Rough Night in Jericho 1967 Color 104m Dean Martin, George Preppard. Martin has taken over running a town his way but he make the mistake of doing something to Peppard's friend which results in a showdown between the two.

290 Return to Lonesome Dove 1993 630m A lot of cast changes in this follow up to Lonesome Dove. Author hated this unauthorized miniseries, which was produced by the people who later created Lonesome Dove The Series.

297 The Invasion of Johnson County. Another Disney western. This one has more action than the Apple Dumpling Gang.

298 Three Violent People. 1956 Color lOOm Charlton Heston. Anne Baxter, Gilbert Roland. Lots of action as Heston has to fight off corrupt officals.

299 Last Wagon 1956 color 99m Richard Widmark, Nick Adams Widmark is a convicted killer who managers to lead a group of young people out of Indian country and into safety.

300 One Little Indian 1973 color 93m James Gardner Gardner plays an escaping US Cavalry Corporal who ends up with a little Indian boy on his flight into the desert on a camel. Disney
