A couple of you appear to have gotten the wrong end of the stick, I am not retiring from the Heliograph until at least issue 175. I am however, retiring from my real job in a little over three years when I turn 62. I am in desperate need of articles, as you can tell from this issue, it’s mighty thin. Please help, the Heliograph depends on you. Several, who shall remain nameless, at least for now, have promised articles but … Several new manufacturers have appeared in the last month with some very nice figures. My subscription ran out to Wargames Illustrated and rather than pay in pounds I decided to go back with Wargames, Inc in West Virginia (Good deal 12 issues for the cost of 10). I also ordered some Osprey (Byzantine stuff and FPW Greman#1) and a pack of Dixon’s French Marines from the Dahomey range to check out. I must say I got great turnaround service from them. I had hoped to do another review of John Company rules, play-test this time, but several birthday parties got in the way, like my dad’s 100th. Anyway, with the universities Christmas holiday almost here I will have a few days to game and Ben and I can get a review put together for next issue. I also hope to have several other reviews of some TSATF variants. Ben and I are working on making some scenery pieces to sell along with loads of books and magazines at Siege of Augusta in January, Hope to see you there!
