Finally, from London War Room are 15mm figures from their Off the Beaten Path are figures from the Rajah Brooke in Borneo range. These figures will work exceeding well with The Virtual Armchair General 15mm The Kris and the Flame ships and of course with the rules from “And That’s The Way It Was” rules The Kris and The Flame. What a surprise that these all fit together! Unless otherwise noted the figures come 12 to a bag for $4.00, bags received include: RBB1 Royal Marines advancing with bayonet, 1 Officer, with pistol, 11 OR. RBB2 Royal Navy Ships Crew, 12 poses. RBB3 Royal Naval Landing Party, 6 poses, 1 with pistol, 2 advancing, 3 firing rifle, 2 with sword and rifle, 2 sword up/firing pistol, and 2 sword down firing pistol. RBB4 Royal Navy Gun Crew, 4 poses 1 with rammer, 3 with shell, 3 gun crews. RBB5 Dyaks, attacking, 7 poses 2 with shield and knife, 1 blow gun, 1 knife, 3 with spears, all in loin cloth and turban. RBB6 Malays, attacking, 4 poses, 5 firing musket, 1 firing pistol, 4 advancing with knife, 1 with gong, all in turbans. RBB7 Chinese attacking, 2 with gongs, 2 advancing with musket, 2 advancing with spear, 2 sword raised, 4 sword raised with shield, all in turbans. RBB8 European Civilian Leaders (6 to bag, $2.50), 2 advancing with sword, 2 with uniform holding pistol, and 2 sword up firing pistol. RBB9 Dyak Rowers, six for each side. RBB10 Malay Ships Crew, 4 poses, all in turban. RBB11 Chinese Fire Lance Tubes, 3 sets (6 figs, $2.50), 3 sets of 2 figs, in turbans. RBB12 Gong Beaters (6 to bag, $2.50), 2 poses as in RBB6 and 7. RBB13 Royal Navy Ships Officers (6 figs, $2.50, 1 with beard (captain?), 2 with hand out, 2 with telescope, 1 with megaphone. RBB14 Royal Navy Signalmen and Signals Officer (6 figs, $2.50), 3 reading message, 3 signal men with flags, add a telescope and it’s a nice little set. RBB15 Dyak Leader (6 figs, $2.50), 1 pose, bareheaded with raised sword. RBB17 Chinese Leader (6 figs, $2.50), 1 pose in turban sword raised. The Officers all run about 18mm while the natives and Other Ranks are 17mm. I like these figures, I’m not a 15mm guy (can’t see the bloody things to paint) but these I will paint (under high magnification) just to play The Kris and The Flame rather then pretend by using wrong 28mm figs. There is some flash, but not much. The figures are pictured on the page after next. These figures, scale wise, will work with Falcon UK, Fantassin, Houston, Lancashire, and Old Glory 15s now 19th Century Miniatures. However, no other manufacturer makes 15mm figures for this era, Eureka or Sheltrum (I think just 25mm) might, but I’m not sure. The Dyaks and Malays will work with Fantassin’s Spanish American War figs. If you like action between the South China Sea and the Indian Ocean these figures are a must. There are some figs available in 25mm from Sheltrum, but not in the variety pictured here. High Recommended!
