Figure Review Fuzzy Wuzzy

by Richard Brooks

Gerry Webb sent a set of Castaway Arts new Fuzzy Wuzzy figures.

There are eleven new Fuzzy figures shown above, I like all poses but one.

M12 Running, shield, spear, right arm raised, could be carrying a flag.

M13 Walking, shield, sword, pose is a bit static.

M14 Running/attacking, sword, 2 hands overhead about to strike, pose is full of action.

M15 Running/attacking, shield, throwing spear, this pose is a bit strange. I suppose it could be better if the arm is pulled away from the shoulder.

M16 Crouching, sword, awaiting the moment to spring the trap, would probably work better with a spear. This is a great pose, nothing like it from any other manufacturer, great for hidden movement. It’s a toss up between this and the next figure as to which one is the best of this group

M17 Throwing spear, shield, very nice pose, good action.

M18 running crouched, spear, shield, right arm raised for spear. This is the figure I really don’t care for, as the pose is rather strange.

M19 running, right arm raised for sword, shield, another nice pose.

M20 Standing, firing, based on the skullcap this is an arab.

M21 Advancing, rifle at port arms, head slightly turned yelling, nicely done figure but pose is lacking something to really bring it alive.

M22 running, two hands over left shoulder, attacking with sword, very nice pose.

There is some flash, like on M15 and M22, but it is a very minor problem compared to other manufacturers.

Sad to say but since I already have over 200 Dervish I probably won’t get any of these new figures (yeah right). Well I guess another unit can’t hurt, there’s just so many unpainted figures in the gameroom.
