Please note that I now have a new email address, I still work for a living so you can use the old one ( rbrooks@srarp.org ) but I would prefer you use this: heliograph@hwynet.com

How original! Along these same lines my son Ben and I are working on a Heliograph web site, very small, but will contain articles (updated quarterly) and the Guide to Colonial Figure Manufacturers. I am greatly indebted (but not monetarily) to both Gerry Webb at Castaway Arts and Patrick Wilson at The Virtual Armchair General for pushing this idea on me.

A few readers have sent in articles, for which I am very grateful, but I’ll need more after another issue or two, so get your pens out and start writing. Tells us what you are up too, figures bought, painted, rules bought, tried, kept, discarded, and scenarios or whatever. How about what figures you would like to see, not just one or two but whole units of them.

Personally, I’d very much like to see Senegalese Spahis and Tirailleurs and more foot Berbers for the FFL, fortunately Gerry Webb at Castaways Arts informs me that these are in the works hopefully by Historicon time. I would also like to put together some major units of British advancing figures in 1882 Egyptian campaign uniform, with officers. I have seen the Old Glory packs but they are just not what I want, I want them advancing not waving to someone or picking their nose, I want them mostly all the same, unit building packs of five or ten, heck even 1 so I can order as many as I want. Anyway, I’d like to hear what you have to say.
