Virtual Armchair General

15mm Victorian Gunboats

reviewed by Richard Brooks

The Virtual Armchair General 10208 Haverhill Place, Oklahoma City, OK 73120-3922 sent me two 15mm ships designed by Chris Ferree a KATF-1 Medium Prahu ($16) and a KATF-2 Side Paddle-Wheeler Gunboat ($18).

The Prahu is designed for one light gun (not included), 8” length and a 1 3/8” beam, three masts with sails. The side-wheeler comes with two masts and stack is 6 1/2” length and 1 7/8” beam and is made for two heavy guns.

Both ships are extremely easy to super glue together and the sails white glue. The ships are single piece hulls the only gluing is the masts and wheels, very easy, I didn’t even glue my fingers, I was quicker this time they couldn’t stick together. I think total construction time was 30 minutes for both ships. Sorry no pictures this time. TVAG also has 25/28mm ships in a bag coming soon I hope.

Highly recommend if you do 15mm.
