As you know the Heliograph is one of over 110 military history and gaming magazines on the magweb.com site. I usually don’t pay that much attention but I did this time just to see how The Heliograph is doing. The Heliograph used to place in the top 10 mags but has fallen back to 16 or so over the last couple of years. I thought that was pretty bad until I looked at where our articles have placed in the Third Quarter of 2003. The Heliograph had 17 articles in the top 250, half of MWAN total (39) (obviously) but only one removed from The Courier (18). SO I think we’re really doing quite well with 6 placing in the top 100. Congratulations to Greg Blake (Cannon Fodder Miniatures) for the top ranked Heliograph Article “Bali Wars 1846-1849” in issue 136. Other top articles (not in any order) for issues 136 and 137 in the Magweb 3rd quarter were reviews for Copplestone Castings White Russian Infantry and Bolshevik Cavalry and three reviews for “And That’s the Way It Was” 800 Fighting Englishmen, The Kris and the Flame, and TSATF Event Deck. Other top articles included German East Africa, Masai Shield Design, Creating Continents, and the Intelligence sections.
