Top Line is PHP 1 Film Crew from the Personalities range. The director has a bulldog face, a nice megaphone, cute beret; this guy is huge if he were standing straight. The script girl is interesting (27.5 sole to eye) and the clapper is useful, nice touch with the baldhead even if he is 30mm sole to eye. The Cameraman (28.5mm sole to eye) has nice detail and I like the animation but the right arm is not quite long enough to reach the crank properly. Having said that this is a great figure, the whole set congers up all sorts of scenario ideas. The middle set PYG6 from the Yangzee Gangs is The Court of Dr. Koo, which really interests me as it goes along with my Fu Manchu figures. The figure with the gong mallet (26mm sole to eye) and the minion (26mm sole to eye)(who looks very much like a Fu Manchu figure I have) are both very useful figures. The Bodyguard (lying sideways) is quite the bruiser and big for a Chinese at 28mm (sole to eye). Dr. Koo sits on a throne with various Chinese symbols; the face looks like Peter Sellers as Fu Manchu, which I find very nice. While the animation is not much, what more could you expect from the inscrutable Dr. Koo who right now is plotting our demise (well in 1920 anyway). The bottom set of figures is the Neanderthal Villagers set PLT 4 from the Lost Tribes group. This is the most animated of the figures so far. The figures are slighter and smaller than the other Pulp Figures, which you would expect, since these are Neanderthals. I love the expressions and the whole animation position thing with these figures. Based on anthropology they are right on target. These guys really look Neanderthal. The Woman with baby (25.5mm sole to eye) is the only measurable figure. The two younger males are the fiercest of the lot howling and stone throwing. But the best figure is the shaman, which will probably cause me to buy some figures. There are many other figures in this new range and these include US Sailors and German Seebattalion. The figures are only available from Bob with good and fast service. $12USD a pack. Highly Recommended Bob Murch
