DON'T FORGET, PLEASE, IF THE NUMBER ON YOUR MAILING LABEL IS 125 IT IS TIME TO REENLIST IN THE HELIOGRAPH FOR ANOTHER YEAR.

PLEASE NOTE THAT MY ADDRESS HAS CHANGED.

You can laugh at me but the new Disney Movie “Atlantis” has some toys that might easily convert to steam powered battlefield use. There are several trucks and some sort of bridge layer that could be converted into a steam tank, at least with Ben’s help I’m going to try. The vehicles may be a little too large but not by much, at least based on the figures that come with them.

I was able to borrow two books that should give me ideas for scenarios for the FFL from Beau Ideal and the US in the Philippines from a book by Vic Hurley.

This issue has a Boer War Scenario and TSATF Rules variant by Bob Abra and Nick Stern, for which I am grateful. Thanks to both of you.

I have no clue what is on tap for next issue, so please write me something, especially a dispatch about something you would like to see in each issue. Also if you would like to have me post anything you wish to sell, buy or trade I will be happy to do so just send me a description or ad like MWAN’s Sutler’s Wagon.

The cover cartoon is from Chuck Vadun, Thank you Chuck, I love it.
