At this time of year, election day is soon or past, so I feel it is fine for you to go out and steal some political signs. That's right steal signs, heck they're just litter now anyway since the election is over. and they make great buildings material. Some are 1/16 inch plastic, easy to cut to make buildings and some other material is corregated plastic similarly good for making buildings.

An update on Savage and Soldier see the letters page.

I have some figures to give away on a first come basis from The Foundry. Five French Napoleonic figures marching. RENMERC 16 - Landsknechts or Swiss, Command (seven figs) also includes extra figure and five extra heads. After you receive the figs I would appreciate $1.00 to pay for postage.

Articles on hand for upcoming issues:

    M. Keigwin: Dress of Native troops in German East Africa, with illustrations.
    B. Walker: Dark Continent: Central African Colonial Wargaming 1860-1918, A TSATF supplement.
    B. Walker: Tattered Legions: 19th Century French and Italian Colonial Warfare, A TSATF Supplement.
H Whitehouse: The Wooden Hand of Captain Danjou, a game of Camerone.
H Whitehouse: The Lords of the Atlas, a big convention type game with lots of backstabbing, in Morocco 1912.
    G. Webb: The Green Hell, Colonial Warfare in West Africa (rules).
    G. Webb: The Ashanti Wars, 1873-74.
J Baxter: Darkest Africa, con't, A Brief Wargamers Guide.

I am trying to put together a brief article on rules for gaming with Darkest Africa figures for the December issue. Should you have any ideas or rules you have used for a game please drop me a line about how you felt the game developed and whether or not the rules worked satisfactorily.

I have permission to reprint, next year sometime, several articles on gaming Darkest Africa from Wargames Illustrated. I would like to know from you, if you get or read this British glossy. This will tell me whether or not to reprint the articles. I have seen the first three in the mag and a yet to be printed and all are outstanding reads. So if you have occasion to write or renew or subscribe please let me know.
