I have had several people write that they would be pleased to submit various things for the two special issues next year-Reconquest of the Sudan and the Spanish-American War. I would really like to hear from more of you about submissions, actually you don't have to tell me ahead of time just send it in when you're finished. Articles can be anything from book reviews, figure reviews scenarios, rules, OB-hey I could go on forever whatever you wish included will go in. So, please help us all. While I wish I could attend FALL IN!, I gotta go with the school and work breaks, I will be at Cold Wars to meet with any of you so inclined. I was going to include an article on German SE African uniforms, unfortunately, the central article took up more space than I had originally assumed. Look forward to the uniforms next issue. This issue wraps up the Russia in Central Asia excerpts from Mac Gahan's book. More in the intro on page 4. Since moving to the farm I have had too many other things to do rather than paint or game. It is also hot as H--- in the unairconditioned rooms up stairs, until next summer, I got to have a small room a/c unit, so I can play. Anyway now that summer has just turned to fall and the temps have gone from 90+ to the lower 70s I have finall gotten to work up their, particularly since it's raining, more than an inch since last night at 7pm. I began sorting painting supplies from constuction materials. Finally having two small desks to work at plus a drafting table, game table, storage, and an old metal bed that is either a couch , bed or extra table I'm in hog heaven, pardon the pun Miss Piggy Sue (our first porker). After being in the hobby nearly 40 years you can't quite believe the stuff you still carry around. I don't have too many of my original 54s left, thanks Mom for throwing out my figures along with my baseball cards from the fifties and early sixties, makes me want to cry. I did come across several bottles of paint I bought in 1960 from Jack Scruby, well I still have his figures, Mom didn't know where they were. All of this makes me remember, now that Mom is gone for eight years, what a great time I had with my figures back then, even fighting against, gasp, my mother on one occasion when I was home sick. She even helped me buy more of my figures from Jack after that. Thanks Mom. Everything's not perfectly set up yet, thought I'd savour the final set up on another day. I hope to have the next issue out early in December so you will get it before Christmas, no promises, but I'll try. So in effect this is the Christmas issue HAPPY Holidays, and support those who help others.
